Steve Weldon - Saxophone, Keyboards and Piano


A school music teacher since 1974, Steve has been the 6th Grade Band teacher for Traverse City Area Public Schools for the past 10 years.  He has served as an Assistant Conductor and clarinetist for the Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) Community Band.  A bass vocalist, he is a member of the Round Table Singers, Traverse Symphony Orchestra Chorus, Christ the King Curch Choir, and sang with the NMC Chamber Singers from 1988-96.  In numerous area bands like Catamaran and True Blue, he has played keyboards and tenor sax, and has also been affiliated with groups such as Gary Carden's Little Big Band, Big Band, and Die Schnitzel bank German Band, Front Street Dixie Band, and Leelanau Dixie Society.  He has been with Splendid Havoc since 2003.
